    In the spirit of remembrance a set of events was created to consider the long history of the Massachusetts Mental Health Center in Boston, and to honor its patients and employees.

      An installation by Anna Schuleit for the Massachusetts Mental Health Center

      Fields of flowers stretch throughout the building in a gesture of offering and transition. The building was open to everyone - to be revisited once more upon its closing.

      9 am - 5 pm

      All-day symposium to honor the role of the Massachusetts Mental Health Center in the evolution of psychiatric treatment, teaching and research. The symposia will be held in a round-table format. All speakers for the symposium were alumni or present faculty of MMHC.

      Current and former patients and staff of MMHC were invited to share their stories and memories at a public forum on the front steps of the Massachusetts Mental Health Center.

      Free and open to the public.
